Role Description The Contracts Administration Engineer Section Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees the preparation, review, and administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and client expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contract documents, managing contract changes and variations, and coordinating with project management, procurement, legal, and finance teams. The section head will lead contract negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, monitor contract performance, and mitigate contractual risks. The role also involves developing and maintaining contract management procedures, preparing regular reports on contract status, and guiding team members on best practices and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Qualifications
Strong contract management skills, including experience in contract administration, documentation control, and lifecycle follow-up.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and stakeholder communication to reach clear, fair, and compliant agreements.
Solid analytical skills to interpret contractual terms, assess risks, and support data-driven decisions.
Experience with procurement processes, including coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal procurement teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline; advanced degrees or certifications in contracts or construction law are an asset.
Previous experience in a similar contracts administration or contracts management leadership role within construction or engineering firms.
Familiarity with FIDIC or equivalent international contract standards and relevant local regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant contract/project management software.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with capacity to mentor and manage a contracts team.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial.
