Oversees establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
Works to devise and executes action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of any such changes
Acts as the contractor’s representative with the client, subcontractors and suppliers during the project execution
Procurement – Prepares purchase requisitions and procures items necessary for the operation of the field office
Establishes procedures for the administration of all field vehicles and equipment; maintains necessary status logs and reports
Coordinates the drafting of requisitions, subcontract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders
Monitors contractor’s expenses versus budget. Prepares draft amendments if required
Manages current and timely change orders
Cost Engineering – Supervises the preparation of the contractors monthly construction progress report and the contract status report
Prepares WBS, budgets and forecasts
Supervises development of the monthly invoices, reviews for accuracy. Reviews and approves subcontractor invoices
Prepares quarterly construction management reports and coordinates meetings
Inspects the construction site weekly with the sub-contractor’s safety representatives
Qualifications
10 years total experience in Roads and Infrastructure Projects
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
