Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare is part of the Cohen Veterans Network, a national nonprofit network of clinics designed to strengthen mental health outcomes and complement existing support for veterans and military families.
The Clinic Director (CD) is responsible for overseeing all veteran service programs within Metrocare, including the Cohen Clinic and the Military Veteran Peer Network. The CD serves as liaison and representative to the veteran and military community in North Texas and to partner organizations. As the clinical and administrative leader, the CD is responsible for creating and sustaining a clinical program that meets the highest standards of evidence-based practice and quality care. The CD is responsible for creating and monitoring best clinical and administrative practice standards at every level of the clinic. The CD works in close collaboration with Metrocare, CVN, and MVPN leadership teams, ensuring program missions and policies are being met and understood by program staff. The CD may spend a small portion (3-5 hours) of their time performing direct clinical care.

The incumbent is further required to meet the criteria for insurability by the Centers risk management facilitator; and produce proof of minimal auto liability coverage when applicable. Failure to meet these terms may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment, contract, or other status with Metrocare.
