Cloud Infrastructure Senior Engineer Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Cloud Senior Engineer to design, implement, secure, and operate enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring platform reliability, security, scalability, and disaster recovery across cloud platforms, Microsoft 365 services, and supporting technologies.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies, public cloud platforms, security, automation, and enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery solutions, with the ability to manage multiple platforms and portals in complex environments.

In addition, the role will be responsible for providing infrastructure and cloud support, governance, and technical expertise across various destinations and business units within Orascom, ensuring the consistent delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable IT services throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure across Microsoft Azure (primary) and AWS.
• Architect and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available environments aligned with business and compliance requirements.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and identity services in enterprise cloud environments.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on‑premises to cloud or hybrid models.

Microsoft 365 & Identity

• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including identity, security, collaboration, and integration components.
• Manage Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), including Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, and tenant security.
• Create and maintain App Registrations, API permissions, service principals, and secure authentication models.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Design and manage Azure Backup solutions for virtual machines, files, databases, and hybrid workloads.
• Implement and operate Azure Site Recovery (ASR) to support business continuity and regional failover.
• Define, document, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, including RTO and RPO objectives.
• Perform regular DR testing, failover, and failback exercises to ensure recovery readiness.
• Protect workloads against data loss, accidental deletion, ransomware threats, and regional outages.
• Maintain backup, DR documentation, and recovery runbooks in an audit‑ready state.

Automation, Security & Operations

• Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Configure and manage Cloudflare services, including DNS, CDN, WAF, SSL/TLS, and Zero Trust.
• Monitor availability, performance, security posture, and cost optimization across platforms.
• Act as a senior escalation point for incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure reliable production systems.
• Manage and operate multiple enterprise portals (Azure, Microsoft 365, Security portals, Cloudflare, backup platforms, AWS, etc.).
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, with exposure to AWS.
• Solid experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
• Proven experience with App Registrations, identity integrations, and enterprise authentication models.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
• Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts (RPO, RTO, failover/failback).
• Experience with Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF, security services).
• Strong coding and scripting skills.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing).
• Experience in protecting and operating mission‑critical production environments.
• Ability to manage complex, multi‑tenant, and multi‑portal enterprise environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL, or enterprise governance frameworks.
• Experience working in large‑scale or multinational organizations.
