Electric propulsion architecture ownership on a novel eVTOL, from cell chemistry through HV distribution to hot-climate thermal management. If you know why pack-level energy density is the hardest constraint in eVTOL propulsion design – and you’ve personally owned the architecture to resolve it – read on.
This is the opportunity to contribute to a government-backed aerospace programme in Dubai building a next-generation lift-plus-cruise eVTOL. This is a greenfield founding-team hire. The CE – Propulsion and Energy owns the complete electric propulsion architecture: motor selection and sizing, battery system design and BMS architecture, high-voltage power distribution with fault isolation, and thermal management designed for sustained operations in high-ambient-temperature Gulf conditions.
The battery energy density requirement is the single highest technical risk on the programme. You will define the mitigation strategy, lead cell supplier technical engagement, scope the DO-311A cell and pack-level qualification test programme, and produce the certification evidence for rechargeable lithium batteries. Without your architecture decisions, nothing downstream – FCS authority limits, thermal loads, airframe integration – can close.
This role requires personal Design Authority on a complete propulsion system and direct experience producing battery certification evidence. If you have not owned a BMS architecture or a DO-311A qualification programme end-to-end, this is not the right role.
