About ISONEX
ISONEX is a specialist compliance consultancy serving the GCC and wider MENA region. We take companies through ISO 27001, SOC 2, and more than twenty other frameworks — faster, and with more accountability, than the traditional consulting model. Our core practice is ISO 27001, where we deliver a complete Stage 2 audit in 75 days against an industry norm of six to nine months.
We operate a remote-first, practitioner-led model with registered offices in Manama, Dubai, and Riyadh, and a curated network of senior specialist consultants.
The role
The Business Lead is the person accountable for every client engagement at ISONEX — from the first conversation to certification. You are the face of the firm to clients, the owner of new business, and the point of coordination for our specialist consultant network. Working directly alongside the co-founder, you are the person who turns ISONEX’s promise of fast, accountable, practitioner-led delivery into something clients actually experience.
This is a senior, hands-on role. It is not a pure sales role and not a pure project-management role — it is the person who holds the entire client relationship together: someone who can win the work, run the room, and keep delivery on track.
What you’ll own
Client engagements
• Act as the single accountable owner for each engagement, from kickoff through to certification or audit sign-off.
• Be the primary point of contact for clients — setting expectations, reporting progress, and resolving issues before they escalate.
• Protect the timeline and quality of every delivery, stepping in wherever an engagement needs direction.
Business development & growth
• Lead conversations with prospective clients — qualifying needs, scoping engagements, and preparing proposals.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities across the globe.
• Represent ISONEX credibly to founders, security leaders, and procurement teams.
Consultant network & delivery
• Match the right specialist consultant to each engagement by framework and sector.
• Coordinate consultants through ISONEX’s five delivery stages — scope, gap diagnostic, build, operate, and audit support.
• Maintain delivery quality so every engagement reflects the standard the ISONEX name promises.
Firm operations
• Help shape how ISONEX scales — refining the delivery model, templates, and ways of working as the firm grows.
• Feed market insight back to the founding team to sharpen positioning and service design.
What success looks like in the first 6–12 months
• Every active engagement has a clear owner, a realistic timeline, and a client who always knows where things stand.
• A working pipeline of qualified opportunities is building across the region.
• A reliable bench of specialist consultants is matched and managed across live engagements.
• ISONEX’s first clients are certified on schedule and become reference accounts.
Who we’re looking for
Essential
• 5+ years in GRC, compliance, or cybersecurity consulting — ideally in a client-facing or delivery-owning role.
• A track record of owning client relationships end to end.
• Commercial instinct — comfortable scoping work, writing proposals, and closing.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 27001 and SOC 2, with familiarity across the wider framework landscape.
• Excellent communication and the presence to be the face of the firm.
• Knowledge of the GCC market and the way compliance is bought and sold there.
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, or an equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with GCC frameworks — NCA ECC, SAMA CSF, and the regional data-protection laws.
• An existing network among global technology, financial, or government-adjacent organisations.
• Fluent English skills
