Your Tasks
Represent the company in Jordan and manage any business activities referring to the local branch, acting as the main point of contact for authorities, clients, partners, and other stakeholders
Support implementation of projects in Jordan and the region in close coordination with the respective business divisions in Fichtner
Identifying opportunities in all our technical segments, engaging with key stakeholders, and helping prepare or coordinate proposals. This refers primarily to Jordan and might include various neighbouring countries in the region, in particular Iraq, Syria, Palestinian Territories and Lebanon
Maintain close communication with Head Office departments and provide on-the-ground insights related to ongoing initiatives, local developments, and potential projects
Build up a local partner network and coordinate local partners and service providers when needed to support market activities
Support smooth collaboration between the Jordan office and relevant teams in Germany and other regions
Manage local branch personnel and any administrative matter related to the local branch
Your Profile
Academic background in engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field
Professional experience in designing, tendering and implementing infrastructure projects, ideally in the field of consultant engineering.
Professional experience in business development, sales engineering, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, or similar roles within the Middle East is considered an advantage
Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, client expectations, and cultural contexts
Knowledge of projects implemented by international donor institutions and developing banks is considered an additional asset
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
High level of self-organization, independence, and reliability
Fluent in English and Arabic with willingness to be permanently based in Amman and travel within the region when required
