Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bookkeeping Portfolio Manager based in Kuwait City. The Bookkeeping Portfolio Manager will oversee day-to-day financial recordkeeping for a portfolio of real estate and investment-related accounts, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers, tracking cash flows, reconciling bank and brokerage statements, and preparing periodic portfolio performance and financial reports for internal stakeholders and clients. The role will also involve monitoring portfolio activity, coordinating with investment, trading, and operations teams, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and compliance requirements. The Bookkeeping Portfolio Manager will work closely with management to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and support data-driven decision-making. Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and prepare clear, accurate reports.
Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Experience in portfolio management and investments, with an understanding of asset allocation, performance tracking, and risk awareness.
Familiarity with trading activity and its impact on portfolio records, including recording trades, fees, and related cash movements.
Proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and comfort working with financial systems and data tools.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple portfolios and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA, CFA level progress) are a plus.
Prior experience in real estate, investment management, or financial services is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Kuwait City and comply with any applicable local work authorization requirements.
