Freelance B2B Market & Positioning Researcher
Coral Procure
Freelance B2B Market & Positioning Researcher
Help an early-stage procurement AI startup validate its best market, customer segment, and positioning.
The project
I’m the founder of Coral Procure, a Netherlands-based startup building AI- and technology-enabled tools for strategic procurement teams. We help mid-market companies in regulated industries turn fragmented procurement data into practical use cases—including spend analysis, supplier intelligence, risk insights, category management support, and procurement decision support.
I need a freelance researcher/marketer to do the heavy lifting on a focused market and positioning study. I’ll provide business context, procurement knowledge, and founder input; you’ll drive the research structure, evidence gathering, and recommendations.
What you’ll own
Compare realistic market-entry options, especially Europe vs. the Middle East.
Define and prioritise the most attractive customer segment and ideal customer profile.
Research buyer pain points, willingness-to-pay, and demand for strategic procurement AI use cases.
Map competitors and market trends in the selected target market.
Translate findings into positioning options, pricing signals, and a practical go-to-market outline to support the goal of acquiring two paying customers in 2026.
Who you are
A hands-on B2B marketing, market research, or strategy consultant.
Strong in market sizing, segmentation, competitor analysis, and positioning.
Comfortable combining desk research with light primary research (interviews, surveys).
Able to turn messy early-stage questions into clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Bonus: experience with procurement, enterprise SaaS, AI tools, regulated industries, or European/Middle East B2B markets.
