The Vice President, Credit is a senior member of the Credit team, working alongside the Principal, Credit on the origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management of the firm’s private credit investments and on debt advisory mandates for corporate clients. The Vice President, Credit is a senior member of the Credit team, working alongside the Principal, Credit on the origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management of the firm’s private credit investments and on debt advisory mandates for corporate clients. The role combines deal leadership with portfolio responsibility and team management.

Responsibilities

• Origination and Execution
• Source new transactions through borrower, sponsor, and intermediary relationships across the Kingdom and the wider GCC.
• Lead due diligence, credit analysis, financial modelling, structuring, and term sheet negotiation across Shariah-compliant instruments including Murabaha, Tawarruq, Sukuk, and other approved structures.
• Lead documentation negotiation and closing in coordination with external counsel.
• Prepare credit papers and recommendations for review by the Investment Committee.

• Portfolio Management
• Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio, including covenant compliance, financial reporting, and counterparty engagement.
• Manage the watchlist, lead workout activity where required, and recommend impairment treatment.
• Maintain regular dialogue with borrowers and sponsors throughout the life of each facility.

• Debt Advisory
• Lead debt advisory mandates for corporate clients, including capital structure advice, financing strategy, and lender process management.
• Prepare information memoranda, teasers, and lender materials.
• Run lender outreach, manage Q&A and management presentations, and lead term sheet and documentation negotiation on behalf of clients.

• Fund Operations Support
• Work with the fund accountant and fund administrator to support monthly NAV and the annual external audit cycle.
• Support regulatory filings and Shariah review processes relating to the firm’s funds.

• People and Stakeholders
• Manage and develop credit team analysts and associates.
• Maintain senior relationships with banks, sponsors, intermediaries, advisors, and counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-9 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance, debt advisory, or banking credit, with at least 3 years in a deal-leading capacity.
• Demonstrable track record of leading transactions from origination through execution.
• Strong financial modelling, including credit underwriting, capital structures, and covenant analysis.
• Strong understanding of debt market instruments, including senior debt, mezzanine, unitranche, PIK, and Sukuk.
• CME-4 certification, or eligibility to obtain CME-4 within the onboarding period.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Full professional fluency in Arabic and English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Shariah-compliant credit structuring (Murabaha, Tawarruq, Sukuk, Wakalah).
• Prior experience within a CMA-licensed asset manager, private credit fund, or regional debt advisory practice.
• Professional qualifications are a plus.
• Existing borrower, sponsor, or banker relationships in the Kingdom and the GCC.
• Familiarity with IFRS-based fund reporting cycles.
