Job Description
To ensure that all loads and equipment are lifted and set properly, demonstrating consistent commitment to safety at all times. To work as part of the team, ensuring the operation runs smoothly and on schedule.
Strategic
RESPONSIBILITIES
Report any faulty equipment to the rigger immediately.
Keep rigging stores clean and tidy.
Assist the Supervisor / Foreman / rigger to do the monthly color coding.
Assist the rigger with day to day rigging and slinging duties.
Selection of correct rigging equipment.
Working at heights and in MEWP’s.
Moving of rigging equipment to the work site and return to store at end of shift.
Assist in housekeeping on site and in the rigging stores.
Operational
Able to inspect rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Able to assess each load and select proper equipment for the job.

Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
PREFERRED :
MINIMUM : Rigging Certificates.
Knowledge & Skill
Red Seal advantageous.
Grade 10 certification-Red Seal advantageous -Grade 10 certification.
Experience
PREFERRED : 3 years’ experience as a Rigger Assistant.
