Role Overview:

Ezdihar Real Estate is offering a Cooperative Training (Coop) opportunity for an Architecture student to gain practical, hands-on experience in real estate development, architectural design, and project coordination within a dynamic and growing real estate company. The trainee will work alongside experienced architects, engineers, and project teams to develop technical skills, understand real-world design and construction workflows, and contribute to residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. This program provides an invaluable foundation for launching a professional career in architecture and real estate development.

Key Training Areas & Responsibilities:

Architectural Design Support

• Assist senior architects in developing conceptual designs, schematic designs, and design development packages for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Support the preparation of architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Participate in design reviews, client presentations, and design coordination meetings.
• Assist in developing 3D models, renderings, and visualizations for project presentations and marketing materials.
• Learn design principles, building codes, and architectural standards applicable to Saudi Arabian projects.

Technical Drawing & Documentation

• Assist in the preparation of construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Support the development of technical specifications, material schedules, and finish boards.
• Learn to review and coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and interior design disciplines.
• Assist in preparing drawing submittals, revisions, and document control procedures.
• Develop proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and coordination.

Project Coordination & Site Exposure

• Participate in project coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits to observe construction progress, architectural installations, and quality of workmanship.
• Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, material samples, and mock-ups against approved designs.
• Learn construction methods, material applications, and installation techniques through site exposure.
• Support the coordination of design changes, RFIs (Requests for Information), and design clarifications.

Research & Design Development

• Conduct research on architectural trends, materials, sustainable design practices, and innovative building technologies.
• Assist in space planning, programming, and feasibility studies for new development projects.
• Support the preparation of design briefs, concept boards, and presentation materials.
• Research Saudi Building Code (SBC), municipality requirements, and local planning regulations.
• Explore sustainable design principles, green building certifications, and energy-efficient design strategies.

Real Estate Development Exposure

• Gain exposure to the real estate development lifecycle from concept through design, construction, and handover.
• Learn about master planning, land use planning, and urban design principles.
• Understand the relationship between architectural design and real estate market positioning, tenant requirements, and commercial viability.
• Assist in analyzing competitor projects, market trends, and customer preferences to inform design decisions.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and project management teams.

Administrative & Documentation Support

• Assist with general administrative tasks related to design documentation, filing, and project correspondence.
• Maintain organized project files, design archives, and reference libraries.
• Support the preparation of project reports, progress updates, and presentation decks.
• Learn to use project management tools and collaboration platforms.

Qualifications:

• Saudi national currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Architecture at an accredited university (mandatory).
• Must be in the final year or eligible for Coop training as per university requirements.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Arabic is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM software is preferred.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for presentations and visualizations is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3D rendering tools (Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong design sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Good academic standing with a strong portfolio of academic design projects.

Program Details:

• Program: Cooperative Training (Coop) in coordination with the student’s university.

• Coop Evaluation: Performance evaluation provided to the university supervisor at program conclusion.
