The Role
We are looking for a full-time remote Advanced WordPress & PHP Developer to build, maintain, and optimize our platforms. You will focus on scalable solutions, ensuring stability, security, and performance in a live production environment.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in PHP 8.x and WordPress core (Hooks, Actions, Filters).
- Plugin development and legacy code refactoring.
- Experience with Kinsta environments (staging, production, SSH, WP-CLI).
- Secure and reliable payment/booking system implementation.
- Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
- Proven ability to manage and reduce technical debt in live systems.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation (code, workflows, systems).
Engineering Principles
- Clean, modular plugin architecture (separation of concerns).
- Stability and backward compatibility in production systems.
- Security-first development practices.
- Performance optimization at application and database levels.
- Incremental, non-breaking refactoring approach.
- Adherence to SOLID principles and structured SDLC practices.
- Documentation as a core practice (maintainable, team-readable systems).
