Accounting Intern/Junior Full Time

This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Intern/Junior role located in Amman, Jordan. The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting team in preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining accounting records using accounting software, and creating journal entries. The Accounting Intern will also be responsible for assisting in various accounting activities and projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Record monthly journal entries
• Prepare monthly payroll sheets along with tax and SSC deductions
• Prepare monthly balance sheet, profit & loss and cash flow statements

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years’ of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Any other accounting, finance or tax certifications
• Strong skills in Microsoft excel and word
• Familiar with accounting software and ERP
• English writing and speaking skills
