Position Summary: Accountant
The accountant is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting inventory and VAT-related accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing environment. The role ensures proper recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and support in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
Maintain general ledger and assist in monthly closing activities.
Handle accounts payable and receivable processing and follow-up.
Perform bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis.
Maintain accurate records of gold stock, jewellery inventory, and related movements.
Assist in VAT preparation and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
Support preparation of basic financial reports and MIS data.
Maintain proper documentation and filing for audit readiness.
Update accounting data in ERP/software systems (Tally / Zoho / SAP, etc.).
Required Experience:
1 to 3 years of accounting experience
Experience in trading, manufacturing, or jewellery industry preferred
Skills Required:
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (preferred)
Strong Excel skills (basic formulas, reporting)
Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.)
Good attention to detail, especially in inventory-related entries
Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy
Position Summary: Sr. Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing core accounting operations, financial reporting, and inventory/cost accounting in a gold jewellery manufacturing setup. The role plays a key part in gold stock valuation, production costing, VAT compliance, and monthly financial closing, ensuring accuracy and control across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead monthly and year-end closing of accounts with accuracy and completeness
Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
Manage gold inventory accounting including raw gold, WIP, and finished jewellery stock
Monitor gold weight reconciliation, wastage, melting loss, and stock valuation
Oversee product costing including making charges, labour, and overhead allocation
Review accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow position
Ensure full VAT compliance and assist in filing VAT returns in UAE
Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports
Maintain and improve accounting processes within ERP systems
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Experience:
4 to 7 years of accounting experience.
At least 2–3 years in manufacturing, trading, or jewellery/gold industry preferred
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
Hands-on experience in inventory and cost accounting (gold/jewellery preferred)
Good understanding of UAE VAT laws and compliance requirements
Advanced Excel skills (reporting, analysis, reconciliation)
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Tally, Zoho, ERPNext, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail, especially in high-value inventory transactions
Ability to handle month-end closing and audit coordination independently
