The Grades 4–12 Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-based instruction within an American curriculum framework while fostering student achievement, engagement, character development, and well-being. The educator creates a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment and contributes actively to the school’s academic and professional culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Instruction & Learning *
– Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons.
– Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
– Use effective instructional strategies and educational technology.
– Promote critical thinking, collaboration, and active learning.
– Maintain clear lesson objectives, structured instruction, and checks for understanding.
* Assessment & Student Progress *
– Design and administer formative and summative assessments.
– Monitor student progress and maintain accurate grade records.
– Use assessment data to guide instruction and interventions.
– Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
* Classroom Environment *
– Establish a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom culture.
– Promote positive behavior, student responsibility, and emotional well-being.
– Maintain effective classroom routines and expectations.
* Professional Responsibilities *
– Submit lesson plans, assessments, and required documentation on time.
– Participate in professional development, meetings, PLCs, and school initiatives.
– Collaborate with colleagues, leadership, and support staff.
– Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
* Parent Communication *
– Maintain professional communication with parents and guardians.
– Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences and provide regular progress updates.
* Qualifications *
– Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area.
– Valid teaching qualification/certification.
– Experience in an American curriculum school preferred.
– Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
– Native-like Proficiency in English required.
