Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mecca for the position of Head of Institutional Excellence Unit (رئيس وحدة التميز المؤسسي). The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s institutional excellence framework, including performance management, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Head of Institutional Excellence Unit will lead the development of policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring alignment with national excellence models and relevant international standards. Daily tasks include managing excellence-related projects, coordinating with departments to monitor KPIs, facilitating internal audits and assessments, and preparing reports and recommendations for senior leadership. The role also involves guiding change management efforts, overseeing training and awareness programs related to excellence, and promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and service quality across the organization. Qualifications
Strong background in institutional excellence, quality management, or organizational development, with experience implementing excellence frameworks and performance management systems.
Proven skills in strategic planning, policy development, and process improvement, including the ability to design and optimize workflows and governance structures.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with KPIs, dashboards, data analysis, and reporting to senior leadership.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams, managing change initiatives, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous for coordination within the local context.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously.
Relevant experience in urban development, public sector, or large-scale investment or regeneration projects is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certifications in excellence or quality (e.g., EFQM, ISO, PMI) are preferred.
