Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Erbil Governorate, Iraq. The Deputy Risk Manager will oversee risk management frameworks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include identifying potential risks, executing risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, monitoring compliance, and reporting to senior management. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve the organization’s overall risk profile while fostering a culture of accountability and risk awareness.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in risk assessment, risk mitigation, and compliance management
• Proficiency in regulatory frameworks, reporting, and auditing processes
• Skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision making
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
• Prior experience (2 years or more) in a risk management or compliance role in the financial or banking sector or any related fields
• Understanding of the financial industry in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is an advantage
• Professional certifications such as CRMA, PRM, or similar are a plus
