I. Position Overview
The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for the daily operations and management of the parking facility, ensuring the orderly entry and exit of vehicles, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and providing basic services and support to customers. This position is typically found in commercial centers, office buildings, hospitals, hotels, and public parking facilities.
II. Key Responsibilities
Manage vehicle entry and exit; direct vehicles to ensure orderly parking and prevent congestion or accidents.
Collect parking fees and operate payment systems or automated equipment (e.g., parking barriers).
Conduct regular patrols of the parking lot to ensure environmental cleanliness and the proper functioning of equipment.
Assist in handling customer inquiries, disputes, and emergency situations (e.g., vehicle scrapes, equipment malfunctions).
Monitor parking lot security; identify and promptly report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
Maintain records of vehicle entry/exit information and relevant operational data.
Collaborate with security or property management teams to implement safety and security protocols.
Assist with traffic flow management during peak hours to enhance traffic efficiency.
III. Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience is preferred.
Possess basic communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Ability to adapt to outdoor working environments and a shift-based schedule.
Capable of operating basic equipment (e.g., payment systems, two-way radios).
Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to handle minor emergencies.
