Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project HSE Management System in line with ADNOC requirements and international standards.
Lead and supervise the HSE team, ensuring effective monitoring of all site activities.
Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, UAE regulations, and project specifications.
Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, and HSE plans prior to execution.
Monitor HSE performance and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports including KPIs and statistics.
Lead incident/accident investigations, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and site visits to ensure compliance.
Promote HSE awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and training programs across the workforce.
Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and Life Saving Rules (LSR).
Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and simulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent (Subject to approval by ADNOC Group)
Any other HSE certifications (considered at ADNOC Group discretion) Mandatory
Lead auditor ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 or equivalent.
Incident Investigation technique.
Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage
Work Experience
Minimum 15-20 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries, with at least 5 years’ experience in a lead HSE position managing team of HSE professionals
Soft Skills / Competencies
Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
Able to lead a team of HSE professionals such as HSE Engineers, Sr. HSE officers, HSE officers etc.
Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes.
Competency in SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
Ability to develop HSE plans, Emergency response procedures/plans.
Ability to analyze incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques.
Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures.
Ability to speak, read & write English with good communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills
