Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Transport Modelling Expert to support a large-scale infrastructure project in Jeddah. The role will focus on the development, calibration, and application of transport and freight models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
This is a senior-level position requiring deep expertise in transport modelling, survey analysis, and large-scale mobility planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, calibrate, and validate strategic transport models
- Lead transport demand and freight modelling activities
- Design and analyse transport-related surveys (household, OD, traffic, etc.)
- Provide strategic insights to support infrastructure planning and policy decisions
- Interpret modelling outputs and present findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Ensure alignment with international standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Master’s degree in Transportation / Transport Planning / Transport Modelling (from a recognized international university)
- Minimum 20 years of experience in transport modelling and planning
Proven experience in:
- Transport network modelling
- Travel demand modelling
- Freight modelling
- Survey development and analysis
- Strong experience with modelling tools such as VISUM, EMME, TransCAD, Cube, Aimsun, or similar
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or mobility projects
- Arabic speaker (mandatory)
- Previous experience in the Middle East / KSA is highly desirable
