TAX COMPLIANCE ADVISOR – LEADING LAW FIRM – KUWAIT Full Time

Our client, a prestigious top-tier law firm in Kuwait, is looking to expand its powerhouse Tax Practice. This is a rare opportunity for a technically gifted Tax Lawyer or Advisor to join a firm that handles the region’s most complex cross-border transactions and high-stakes advisory mandates.

While the role is based in Kuwait, the firm maintains a global outlook; therefore, prior GCC-specific experience is not a prerequisite. We are looking for a sharp, international mindset.

The Role

You will provide end-to-end tax solutions for a sophisticated client base consisting of multinational corporations, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity houses. Your remit will include:

• Tax Compliance: Overseeing complex filing requirements and ensuring multi-jurisdictional alignment.
• Structuring & Advisory: Crafting tax-efficient structures for M&A, restructuring, and cross-border investments.
• Tax Litigation Support: Providing technical expertise and strategic support for tax disputes (noting that direct court attendance is not required).
• Global Reform Leadership: Serving as a subject matter expert on the implementation of the Pillar 2 multinational tax regime and navigating International Double Taxation Treaties.

The Candidate

The ideal specialist will bring a rigorous approach to international tax law. Key requirements include:

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Proven experience in corporate tax, international tax, or tax advisory within a reputable law firm or Big 4 environment.
• Pillar 2 Expertise: A strong working knowledge of the Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules is highly desirable.
• International Treaties: High proficiency in interpreting and applying Double Tax Treaties.
• Languages: Fluency in English is essential. While Arabic is a plus, it is not required for this role.
