Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring timely processing of transactions and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily booking of financial transactions, including journal entries and petty cash
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and follow up on aging reports (AR/AP) and highlight any discrepancies
- Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and adjustments
- Process and execute payments through the company’s banking platforms
- Assist in maintaining general ledger integrity and resolving any variances
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes and reconciliations
- Experience with accounting systems and MS Excel
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in handling bank payments and reconciliations
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
