Our client is a globally recognised real estate and infrastructure developer with a growing footprint in digital infrastructure and next-generation data center platforms. With significant capital deployment across high-growth markets, the business is rapidly expanding its presence in hyperscale and AI-driven infrastructure, targeting key global hubs including Southeast Asia.

As part of this expansion, our client is developing a large-scale data center platform in Bangkok, positioning itself at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing digital infrastructure markets globally.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Vice President of Data Center Operations to take full ownership of a ~700MW hyperscale portfolio in Bangkok/Dubai.

This is a mission-critical leadership role, responsible for end-to-end operations across multiple campuses, ensuring world-class performance, uptime, and customer delivery in a high-growth, high-density environment.

The SVP will play a pivotal role in shaping operational strategy, building and scaling high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence across a rapidly expanding footprint. This role requires a hands-on, execution-focused leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and takes full accountability for outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

• Take full ownership of operational performance across the Bangkok/Dubai portfolio
• Lead from the front in a build-and-scale environment, setting standards for accountability and execution
• Operate with a strong bias for action, balancing speed, quality, and risk
• Build and develop a strong leadership bench to support regional growth

Operational Management

• Oversee all data center operations across a ~700MW multi-site portfolio
• Lead site operations directors and campus teams across multiple facilities
• Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all critical infrastructure systems
• Partner with development, construction, and engineering teams to support new capacity delivery

Performance & Reliability

• Own and deliver uptime and SLA commitments across hyperscale environments
• Establish and track KPIs across availability, efficiency, cost, and performance
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance, reliability, and operations
• Implement best-in-class operational standards and procedures

Day-to-Day Oversight

• Maintain deep understanding of MEP systems and operational risk
• Oversee maintenance programmes, workflows, and work order management
• Ensure readiness for incident response and crisis management
• Report operational performance to executive leadership

Customer & Commercial

• Maintain strong relationships with hyperscale and enterprise customers
• Ensure delivery against SLAs and contractual obligations
• Support commercial teams with operational input on capacity and scalability

Standardisation & Scaling

• Develop scalable operational frameworks across the portfolio
• Drive standardisation in maintenance, reporting, and operations
• Support regional expansion across Southeast Asia

Integration & Growth

• Support integration of new sites and acquisitions
• Collaborate with global leadership on long-term strategy
• Contribute to positioning the organisation as a leading regional operator

Team Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop high-performing multi-site operations teams
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives
• Maintain strong on-site presence across campuses

Candidate Profile

Experience

• 15+ years in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or related sectors
• Minimum 7+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing multi-site operations
• Proven experience managing hyperscale or high-density data center environments (essential)
• Demonstrated track record of scaling operations in high-growth or emerging markets
• Experience leading large, distributed technical teams
