Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Internal Control Officer located in Erbil. The Internal Control Officer will be responsible for evaluating and improving internal control systems, conducting regular audits, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with teams to enhance operational efficiency and maintaining up-to-date documentation regarding internal controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to assess processes, identify risks, and recommend solutions
• Proficiency in Finance practices and knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with teams, management, and stakeholders
• Experience with Internal Controls and the development of compliance frameworks
• Background in Auditing, with familiarity in conducting assessments and preparing audit reports
• Detail-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent is a plus
