About the role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of the platform’s software architecture, from design through deployment.

This role is centred on driving technical decisions across the platform’s complex ecosystem, spanning embedded software, cloud services, and applications, while ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term evolution of the system.

You will act as the technical lead, shaping not only how the system is built, but also how it evolves to support business goals. Working closely with cross-functional R&D teams, you will translate product needs into robust, scalable technical solutions and guide their implementation.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and evolve system‑level and backend software, primarily in Python and additional languages as needed.
• Build and operate complex end‑to‑end systems that combine low‑level components, backend services, and large‑scale integrations, running continuously in production.
• Ensure systems meet high standards for reliability, correctness, and privacy in real‑world environments.
• Lead and contribute to the full development cycle, using modern tools to accelerate implementation and prototyping.
• Design system integrations and define technical requirements for new features across backend and connected platforms.
• Take part in architecture and design decisions, balancing trade‑offs between scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, well‑designed solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and continuously improve overall architecture and operating practices.

• Strong system‑level understanding with hands‑on experience in integrations and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to define feature requirements and reason through architectural and design trade‑offs.
