Generator Technician / Mechanic Full Time NEW

Novel Technical Services L.L.C. provides diesel generators, air compressors, tower lights, welding equipment, and power distribution solutions to construction and industrial sites across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and the UAE.

This field-based role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rental generators and equipment at client sites, ensuring 100% uptime for critical power needs in fast-paced construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, load bank testing, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel generators (Kirloskar, Cummins, Perkins, or similar), ATS panels, and related equipment directly at construction sites.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, including fuel systems, alternators, starters, and wiring, often under time pressure.
• Install, commission, and decommission generators, coordinating with site teams for safe setup, cabling, and synchronization.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns 24/7, including nights/weekends, with on-call rotation for rapid field response across UAE sites.
• Document all service reports, parts usage, and hours via mobile app or Excel, supporting invoicing and inventory tracking.
• Train site staff on basic operation and safety, and recommend upgrades or preventive schedules to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5+ years hands-on experience as a generator technician in UAE/GCC construction rentals, with Kirloskar, Perkins or similar diesel genset expertise.
• Valid UAE heavy driving license; ability to work in outdoor sites with lifting (up to 50kg) and heights.
• English proficiency; Hindi/Urdu a plus for site communication.
