Supply Chain & Imports Specialist – Pharma Excipients & APIs
Location: Cairo, Egypt

TRAG is a long-established pharmaceutical raw-material distribution company with decades of experience in excipients and APIs and a strong reputation in the Egyptian market since 1993.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Supply Chain & Imports Specialist to manage the day-to-day import cycle for our excipients and APIs: documents, shipments, pricing follow-up, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate all shipping documents (CI, PL, BL/AWB, COA, COO, packing list, etc.) with high accuracy before submission.
- Handle COA-related details: understand typical COA terms and specifications, and coordinate required adjustments to analysis techniques and formats requested by clients in Egypt.
- Manage the import cycle from PI to warehouse delivery, following up on bookings, ETD/ETA, clearance and delivery.
- Communicate with foreign suppliers regarding PIs, shipments, payment terms, and basic price negotiations.
- Maintain a structured pricing and supplier history for excipients and APIs.
- Calculate commissions and track supplier commission agreements and payments using internal templates and tools.
- Coordinate with sales, finance, and warehouse on stock levels, incoming shipments, and priorities.
- Provide regular reports on open POs, shipment status, landed costs, and basic margin evolution.
Job Requirements
- 2–4 years experience in pharma raw materials / excipients / APIs distribution or trading in Egypt (or strong experience in similar import/distribution roles).
- Solid knowledge of shipping documents, Incoterms, payment terms (LC, TT, CAD, etc.) and basic customs procedures.
- Experience communicating and following up with foreign suppliers.
- Familiarity with COAs for excipients/APIs (key parameters, limits, and typical requirements of Egyptian manufacturers) is a strong plus.
- Good working knowledge of pharma excipients and APIs (commercial names, main uses preferred).
- Very good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with ERP systems like Odoo
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to take responsibility for assigned files with minimal supervision.
