Job Description
Engineering Methodology: Establish, update, and enforce standardized engineering methodologies and design guidelines across all disciplines (Arch, Elec, Mech).
Design Study & Upgrade: Oversee comprehensive design studies for new projects and continuously review existing designs to implement necessary design upgrades.
Value Engineering (VE): Lead Value Engineering workshops and studies to optimize project costs, improve constructability, and maximize value without compromising quality or safety.
Design Approval & Client Approval: Manage the internal design approval process and act as the primary technical liaison to secure final Client Approvals and stakeholder sign-offs.
Design Handover: Guarantee the systematic and flawless handover of approved design packages (including shop drawings, specifications, and BOQs) to the construction and procurement teams.
Engineering Support: Provide high-level technical solutions and engineering support to site teams, resolving complex design conflicts or discrepancies during the construction phase.
Team Leadership: Mentor, evaluate, and manage a diverse team of Senior Engineers and Team Leaders across the Architecture, Mechanical, and Electrical departments.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. (Postgraduate studies or PMP is a strong plus).
Experience:15+ years of solid experience in Design Management within premium engineering/construction firms, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Technical Scope: Deep technical knowledge of all three disciplines (Architecture, MEP: Electrical & Mechanical systems) and their integration.
Skills: Strong expertise in Value Engineering methodologies, contract awareness, and international/local building codes.
Software: Proficiency in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office/Project.
Leadership: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills under tight project deadlines.
