Role Description The Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Sulaymaniyah. The person in this position will collect, organize, and analyze environmental data from various sources, including field surveys, reports, and governmental or partner databases. Daily tasks include preparing analytical reports, visualizations, and presentations to inform projects, advocacy efforts, and decision-making. The Analyst will support the design and monitoring of environmental programs, track key indicators, and contribute to impact assessments. The role also involves collaborating with program teams, participating in meetings with partners and stakeholders, and helping translate complex findings into clear, accessible information for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data collection, data cleaning, and statistical or qualitative analysis.
• Ability to prepare clear reports, summaries, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including internal teams, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Familiarity with environmental issues, sustainability, or natural resource management; prior experience in environmental or non-profit sectors is an advantage.
• Proficiency in common office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software; experience with data visualization or GIS tools is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, economics, statistics, public policy, social sciences, or a related field; advanced studies are an asset.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in relevant local languages; proficiency in English is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, team-oriented environment and to engage respectfully with communities and partners.
