Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Travel Lift Operator role based in Abu Dhabi. The Travel Lift Operator is responsible for safely operating travel lifts and related lifting equipment to haul, launch, and move boats within the yard. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting lifting equipment before use, positioning slings and blocks, securing vessels, and coordinating with ground crews to ensure safe movement of boats. The role involves performing routine equipment checks, reporting maintenance needs, and following all safety procedures and site regulations. The Travel Lift Operator also assists with general yard organization, supports boat handling operations, and communicates clearly with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating travel lifts, cranes, or similar heavy lifting equipment in a marine, industrial, or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, lifting procedures, and safe handling of vessels or large loads.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to carry out routine inspections, identify issues, and coordinate maintenance for lifting equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate movements with ground crew, supervisors, and other yard personnel.
• Ability to work on-site in outdoor conditions, including standing, climbing, and handling physical tasks as required by boat yard operations.
• Previous experience in a boat yard, shipyard, or marine services environment is preferred.
• Relevant equipment operation certifications or licenses, as required by local regulations, are an advantage.
• Commitment to safe work practices, reliability in attendance, and willingness to learn company-specific procedures.
