Job Description
Sofitel Bahrain is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Gym Instructor to join our Wellness & Recreation team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, and dedicated to promoting a safe and welcoming environment in our fitness facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide a professional, friendly, and personalized fitness experience.
- Conduct gym orientations and demonstrate the safe use of fitness equipment.
- Design personalized fitness programs based on guests’ goals and fitness levels.
- Monitor guests during workouts to ensure correct exercise techniques and safety.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the fitness center.
- Perform routine inspections of gym equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Support wellness activities, fitness classes, and hotel events as required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Promote the hotel’s wellness facilities and services.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Fitness, Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Valid Gym/Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer certification.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Gym Instructor or Personal Trainer, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or fitness club.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on guest service.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
