About Us
Share the Love is one of the UAE’s leading gifting businesses, specialising in greeting cards, gift accessories, personalised gifts, gift wrap, party supplies and on-demand printing. Our products are sold through major retailers, quick-commerce platforms, marketplaces and our own websites across the UAE and GCC.
We are looking for a commercially minded Category Manager to help drive growth across our Greeting Cards & Gifting categories.
The Role
The Category Manager will be responsible for developing, sourcing and managing product ranges that delight customers while delivering strong sales and profitability.
You will analyse market trends, identify product opportunities, work closely with suppliers, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products from concept through to launch.
This role can be structured as either full-time or part-time depending on experience and availability.
Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy
- Develop and execute category growth plans for greeting cards, gift accessories and related gifting products.
- Identify new product opportunities, trends and seasonal ranges.
- Analyse sales performance and recommend actions to improve revenue and margin.
- Build category roadmaps and seasonal launch calendars.
Product Development
- Manage & monitor our product range sales across retail stores
- Brief designers on new product concepts and collections.
- Develop exclusive ranges tailored for UAE and GCC consumers.
- Manage product specifications, pricing and positioning.
Visual Merchandising & Supplier Management
- Ensure our displays are attractive in all retail stores to maximise sales
- Build relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms and lead times.
- Monitor supplier performance and product quality.
- Coordinate sampling and product approvals.
Commercial & Analytics
- Review sales, margins, stock performance and customer feedback.
- Manage pricing strategies across retail, marketplace and quick-commerce channels.
- Recommend promotional and seasonal activities.
- Produce regular category performance reports.
Inventory & Operations
- Work closely with operations and purchasing teams to forecast demand.
- Minimise stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Support product launches and replenishment planning.
Market Research
- Monitor competitors and industry trends.
- Research international greeting card and gifting markets.
- Identify emerging opportunities across the GCC.
RequirementsEssential
- 3+ years experience in category management, buying, merchandising or product management.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
- Experience sourcing products and negotiating with suppliers.
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience in greeting cards, gifting, stationery, party supplies, home décor or FMCG.
- Experience sourcing from China and international suppliers.
- Experience with Shopify, Amazon, Noon or retail channels.
- Understanding of UAE/GCC retail markets.
