Well Services Senior Engineer (Slickline and Wireline) Full Time

Geo-Jade Petroleum – South Basra Integrated Project (SBIPRO) is seeking an experienced an Expat Well Services Senior Engineer (Slickline and Wireline) with solid Oil & Gas experience . This role works with Wells Department on rotation basis based in Basra Iraq.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Work with Well services section head, Superintendent and Contractors to ensure effective call-off for all slickline wireline jobs.
• Prepare and review slickline wireline operational programs (e.g.,BHPS/FGS, Fishing, Plugging, TTP/TCP, casing hole logging), identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure high-quality execution and reporting.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and oversight of slickline wireline operations, ensuring activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Company standards and applicable regulations.
• Ensure accurate daily reporting and operational updates are submitted in a timely manner; contribute to performance tracking and post-job reviews, including job tickets reviews.
• Participate in operational audits and inspections, including wellsite, contractor base, and pre-job readiness checks. Oversee equipment readiness, confirming all tools and equipment are fit for purpose, properly maintained, and certified to relevant API or industry standards.

• Attend and contribute to daily/weekly planning and performance meetings with Contractors, E&D and other cross-functional teams; maintain action trackers and ensure closure of outstanding issues.
• Responsible for developing and updating operational standards for slickline&wireline activities.
• Promote continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and driving standardization in execution practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience with land-based slickline & wireline operations.
• Valid IADC or IWCF Well Control Certificate – Level 4 (or equivalent) is required.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices, HSE standards, and good oilfield practices, including operational risk management and incident prevention.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, IADC) and compliance with local regulatory frameworks.
• Skilled in technical program preparation and proposal review, QA/QC, post-job reporting, and operational troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated competency in contractor oversight, service quality assurance, and field equipment verification.
• Capable of working effectively in multicultural environments, with proven ability to build relationships, communicate across levels, and develop local workforce capacity.
