General Manager (Freight Forwarding) Full Time NEW

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our freight forwarding operations in Lebanon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing daily operations, managing profitability, leading cross-functional teams, and expanding our regional and international network.

Responsibilities include setting and implementing business strategies, managing budgets and financial performance, and driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role will lead and develop cross-functional teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety, and coordinate with regional offices and partners to maintain strong global relationships. The General Manager will also monitor market trends, identify new business opportunities, ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and represent the company with key clients, networks, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• To be based in Lebanon (mandatory)
• Extensive experience as a GM within the freight forwarding industry is a must.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance management, and the ability to motivate diverse, cross-cultural teams.
• Strong strategic planning, business development, and decision-making abilities, with experience setting and achieving organizational targets.
• Solid understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and supply chain operations; prior experience in these sectors is highly preferred.
• Financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain client and partner relationships.
• Capability to drive process improvement, implement operational standards, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
• Experience working in or with the Middle East and international markets; familiarity with industry networks (e.g., WCA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, results-oriented work style.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic and/or additional languages are an asset.
