Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Technical Support Specialist to
provide on-site technical assistance and IT support to clients and internal users. The ideal
candidate will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues while
ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance. This position involves
regular travel to client sites or company branches.
Statement of Duties:
1- Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers,
mobile devices, and networking equipment.
2- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and
hardware components.
3- Support and maintain LAN/WAN connections, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi
access points.
4- Assist in deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including
upgrades and rollouts.
5- Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks on systems and
equipment.
6- Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk and escalate complex technical issues as
needed.
7- Maintain accurate records of work orders, service requests, and equipment
inventories.
8- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, data protection, and security
standards.
9- Provide user training and guidance on IT tools and best practices.
10- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support when required.
Qualifications and Educational Background:
1- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer
Science, or related field.
2- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in IT support or a similar field-based
technical role.
3- Certifications (preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified
Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent.
Skills and Competencies:
1- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
2- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise
applications.
3- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
4- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
5- Strong communication and customer service orientation.
6- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in the field.
7- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours when required.
Physical and Working Conditions:
1- Must be able to lift and move Network equipment (up to ~25 kg).
2- Travel to multiple client or branch locations as part of daily duties.
