Role Overview

The Sr. Supplier QA Engineer leads supplier-related activities by conducting supplier and component evaluations, coordinating supplier audits, overseeing component reliability validation activities to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards, investigating supplier issues at both site and supplier end, preparing and processing supplier claims, and overseeing the technical and commercial aspects of component evaluation. This role focuses on supplier quality assurance responsibilities, maintaining documentation, and ensuring that incoming materials and suppliers meet SKM quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct supplier audits (initial, surveillance, re-audits) to ensure compliance with SKM standards, ISO requirements, and industry best practices.
• To conduct root cause analysis for component failure at site , Investigate and
• derive proper root cause analysis by different RCA methodologies.
• Prepare and lead the process of supplier claims based on the nature of defect of components
• Drive supplier qualification and development activities, including capability assessment, risk evaluation, and continuous improvement planning.
• Oversee and guide component evaluation activities in coordination with Jr.QA/QA engineers, ensuring technical and quality requirements are consistently met.
• Ensure full compliance of supplier documentation (MTC, TC, MSDS, PQP, ITP, etc.) with SKM requirements and applicable international standards.
• Plan and execute critical inspections at supplier facilities, including pre-dispatch inspections, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), and process validation.
• Lead closure of critical supplier-related punch points, especially documentation and compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution and effectiveness.
• ReviewNCR (Non-Conformance Reports) & MDR (Material Discrepancy Reports) raised in ERP; ensure proper root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Conduct advanced MDR and NCR trend analysis, identifying recurring issues, systemic gaps, and risk areas; present actionable insights to management.
• Handle supplier claims and recovery processes, including investigation, cost impact analysis, and resolution follow-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Engineering, Production, QHSE) to resolve supplier-related issues and improve overall supply chain quality.
• Develop and monitor supplier quality KPIs, including: Supplier rejection rate, On-time delivery quality performance, Supplier rating scorecards.
• Mentor and support Jr. SQA engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership in daily activities
• Perform any additional strategic or operational assignments as directed by Quality Deputy Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ HVAC/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical & application knowledge for the HVAC products

Skills & Experience

• Experience in the reputable organization of 7-10 years in QA related Field.
• Proven Knowledge of Scientific measurement instruments
• Ability to communicate effectively
