Roles and Responsibilities:

The Social Worker is responsible for proactively supporting specific patients and their families through difficult times and ensure that vulnerable people, including children adults, are safeguarded from harm. The Social Worker will ensure the delivery of International standards of care in accordance with established practices, policies and procedures.

Managerial/Administration:

• Contribute to developing Allied Health service standards and ensure they are consistently met. Acting as a role model, they will deliver high clinical and operational performance standards by developing and supporting the Allied Health Service team.
• Collaborates with nursing and allied health staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive officers and other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
• To market, promote and profile the service to patients, referrers and the public and to undertake business development activities.
• Active member in Kingdom Organ Donation Program for promoting idealistic support for this program and for providing counselling and support to the families of the Brain Death cases.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience

• BSc in Social work
• Valid license/registration to practice his / her specialty from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of KSA Health Regulations.
• International accreditation experience such as, Certificate of patient experience professional (CPXP)
