Riyadh University of Arts (RUA) is seeking highly motivated Saudi nationals to join the RUA Emerging Faculty Programme, Assistant Lecturer Track, for the 2026/27 academic year. This programme is designed to support the next generation of Saudi academics, artists, performers, and creative practitioners who aspire to contribute to the future of arts education and cultural development within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s growing investment in culture, creativity, and the arts, the programme aims to build long-term Saudi academic capacity within the higher education and cultural sectors. The programme is intended to support emerging educator-practitioners who demonstrate strong artistic, creative, and academic potential and who are interested in developing careers in university teaching and creative practice.
The RUA Emerging Faculty Programme provides a structured transition into academic life through mentorship, supervised teaching experience, professional development, and participation in the academic and creative activities of the University.
For the 2026/27 academic year, recruitment will focus specifically on candidates holding relevant Master’s degrees in: Cultural/Arts Management, Heritage, Film, Performing Arts, or Music.
Assistant Lecturers will work closely with experienced faculty members and College leadership to develop the teaching, pedagogical, artistic, and institutional skills required for future appointment as Lecturers within the University.
This is a developmental academic appointment intended to prepare early-career academics for independent teaching responsibilities within a specialized arts university environment.
