Head of Planning Full Time

To lead and manage the Planning Department . This role establishes robust scheduling, project controls, and reporting frameworks to ensure all large-scale projects are delivered on time, within contract compliance, and optimized for risk and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Project Controls Leadership

• Establish and enforce planning standards, governance, and performance measurement systems across all projects.
• Oversee the development and approval of baseline schedules, recovery plans, and revised programs.
• Monitor portfolio progress, analyze schedule performance, and proactively identify bottlenecks.

2. Delay Analysis & Claims Support

• Oversee the preparation of delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
• Partner with Commercial and Project teams to evaluate schedule-related claims and support dispute resolution.

3. Resource & Risk Management

• Review manpower and equipment loading plans; recommend optimization strategies to balance resources.
• Identify schedule-related risks and lead recovery initiatives for underperforming projects.

4. Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

• Develop executive dashboards and deliver weekly/monthly performance reports to senior management.
• Align planning activities with Project Directors, Commercial, Procurement, Clients, and Consultants.

5. Technology & Team Leadership

• Drive standardization and advanced utilization of Primavera P6 and digital project control tools.
• Lead, mentor, and establish KPIs for Planning Managers and Engineers across the group.

Requirements & Competencies

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years in construction, with at least 5 years in a senior planning leadership role managing multiple mega-projects.
• Certifications: PMP, PSP, PMI-SP, or equivalent preferred.
