Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Designer – Metal Enclosures role based in the Riyadh Region. The Mechanical Designer will develop detailed mechanical designs for metal enclosures, including concept layouts, 3D models, and 2D drawings that meet functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements. Responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and documentation, selecting appropriate materials and fabrication methods, and ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and customer specifications. The role involves collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance, as well as supporting prototyping, testing, and design improvements. The Mechanical Designer will also participate in design reviews, provide technical support during installation or commissioning, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of internal design practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, with practical experience in designing metal enclosures or related mechanical structures.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Technical Drawing, including 3D modeling and preparation of accurate fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and implementing design improvements based on performance and feedback.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for sheet metal and fabricated components, including bending, welding, cutting, and surface finishing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret standards and specifications, and ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in industrial, power, or fire safety equipment sectors is a plus; familiarity with Saudi or GCC market standards is advantageous.
