Prepare coating procedures for the projects at bid stage as well as upon award of the projects.
Monitor the HSEQ standards and productivity of all blasting and painting activities in the yard, including monitoring or coating personnel qualification exercise.
Manage coating procedure qualification activities and ensure these meet the project specific requirement company requirement.
Monitor the storage of painting materials and consumables within the storage area to ensure adherence to all requirements such as A/C & light system explosion proof necessary for controlled storage as per paint
manufacturers datasheet or technical specification requirements.
Plan, identify & order the coating/painting consumables for projects in advance.
Monitor the subcontractor to ensure that materials or consumables being used for coating and painting related activities conform to the specification as per the client’s requirement.
Review bid documentation as assigned by the QC Manager, highlighting the cost related to blasting & coating.
Assist in identifying sub-standard blasting/coating material or other potential areas of concern.
Liaise with project management team, clients, other departments like Production, Planning and Engineering etc. to ensure blasting/coating related risks and opportunities are communicated during bid and execution
phase.
Take responsibility for interpretation of various coating codes, standards, and client specifications, and support other functions in ensuring compliance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)
Valid professional qualification in the following:
NACE Level I / II or BGAS 2
Saudi Aramco CBT Passed and with SAP number.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years’ experience, relating to quality inspection of offshore structures (Jackets, etc.).
