Research Project Officer Full Time

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is seeking a highly organised Research Project Officer to support the delivery of our growing research portfolio.

This role is ideal for a project professional who can manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholders while ensuring research projects are delivered on time, compliant, and audit‑ready.

🔹 What You’ll Do

• Coordinate end‑to‑end research project delivery across multiple projects
• Track milestones, budgets, and reporting deadlines
• Support Principal Investigators with project planning, procurement, and staffing
• Monitor project spend and provide forecasting and variance insights
• Identify and escalate risks and maintain project registers
• Ensure compliance with funding, governance, and audit requirements
• Act as a key interface between research teams and Finance, HR, Procurement, and Legal

🔹 What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in project coordination or programme management
• Strong experience in budget tracking, reporting, and risk management
• High proficiency in Excel and project tracking tools
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in complex environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines

(Experience in higher education, research, or grant‑funded projects is a strong advantage. Project management certification is a plus.)
