General Manager (Light Steel/Aluminium) Fabrication Industry Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager (Light Steel/Aluminium) Fabrication Industry (DIC- Dubai). Applicant must have good organizational skills as well as ideal candidate should have a strong background in the field of Architectural Metal Works, Oil & Gas, Signage Works, CNC Punching, Laser Cutting and Perforation Fabrication, is responsible for leading a dynamic team and overseeing end-to-end activities related to fabrication and manage the overall steel fabrication operations at the factories by offering technical and commercial leadership. This crucial role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience of fabrication with an overall 10-15+ years of proven experience in a similar field.

Core Experience: Architectural/ Light Steel & Aluminium Fabrication / Signages / Metal Coating / Oil & Gas / Vessels tanks fabrication / Skids/ Warehouses /Buildings /Malls

GM must work well with others like a team attitude. Responsible for the site operations and all aspects, identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, and collaborating with executives on project strategy to determine objectives.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. Tech) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of proven experience in a similar field.
• Proficient in Operation of Steel / Aluminium Fabrication plant.
• Previous experience in a related manufacturing industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication codes and standards.
• Sound understanding of fabrication techniques and Welding process including SMAW/GMAW/SAW welding, and GAS cutting.
• Exceptional project management and data analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic mindset &long-term vision capabilities.
• Capable of problem solving, decision making and failure analysis.
• A self-motivated leader & a team player.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Capable of identifying costs such as indirect, direct, fixed, variable, capital etc in order to arrive at actual unit cost of production for all processes involved in the steel fabrication operations in consultation with Accounts Department so that preparation of estimates for both internal and external clients can be facilitated.

2. Standardize an appropriate organization structure for the factories to enhance efficiency and develop roles and responsibilities for all employees.

3. Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.

4.  Reviews factory reports to ensure safety, quality, financial and delivery goals and standards are met.

5.  Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with rules and

6.  regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health and safety staff.

7.  Track the man-hours Vs budgets.

8.  Assists Operating officer with operating goals, expansion efforts and implementation of new and advanced technology.

9.    Identifies and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.

10. Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.

11. Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.

12. Supervises equipment purchases, maintenance and layout.

13. Develop projections reports and indicate KPI, s for upper management to monitor financial and production productivity better.

14. Follow up with the production team for the products as per the project requirements.

15. Ensure all workers at the factory is trained and following correct processes and procedures and that all SOPs are followed.

16. Delegate workload to site foreman/Supervisor and Engineers/ Supervisors to report back on issues daily, and go through the daily communication meetings.

17. Ensure that the production is cost-effective

18. Decide what resources are required.

19. Draft a timescale for the production as per the project requirements.

20. Do strong coordination with site and procurement.

21. Implement policies and procedures to ensure the maximum benefits and earn the expected profits within the timeframe.

22. Rapid Increase in profitable sales orders by implementing the necessary policies to govern the sales staff by sales targets and visions.

23. Control direct production costs by drawing a proper planning system to ensure the minimal direct Cost-effective to production.

24. Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary administration costs and maintaining current quality standards.

25. Production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.

26. Full utilization of the company’s assets to produce optimal results.

27. Optimal utilization of human resources to increase production with minimal labour cost.

28. Commit to plant safety procedures and implement strict procedures for personal protective equipment “PPE”.

29. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
