Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Establishing and updating the framework, methodology, and standards for data governance and management in the authority, including data quality, classification, description, security, sharing, and ensuring compliance with approved policies and legislation at the Mubadala government level.
2. Monitoring compliance with frameworks and standards for data collection, processing, quality control, storage, transfer, and sharing, and supporting work teams to ensure their consistent application.
3. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to collect, manage, and improve the quality of statistical data related to the authority’s sectors of work, ensuring its alignment with national standards, and supporting its integration into dashboards, reports, and strategic initiatives, in
collaboration with the relevant parties.
4. Managing central data governance tools and ensuring their continuous development and updating.
5. Coordinating with relevant work teams to ensure the availability of high-quality institutional data to support analysis, decision-making, and achieving the organization’s strategic goals.
6. Monitoring key performance indicators related to data governance and quality, and submitting periodic reports to senior management on the progress made in implementing data management programs.
Expected Outcomes
1. Maintain a high-quality and clean data pipeline that ensures findings are accurate.
2. Ensure that all data handling and modelling adhere to privacy standards and ethical use of data to mitigate the legal risks.
3. Translate complex statistical findings into simplified, compelling presentations for interested stakeholders.
4. Report on the status of implementing automated data governance through establishing automated data frameworks to monitor data linkages and ensure compliance with the regulations and data governance principles.
