About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Executive Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multinational environment and is eager to grow within a structured finance function. The Executive Accountant will work closely with the CFO and play a key supporting role across day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting Operations
• Assist with posting daily accounting entries accurately and on time into the accounting system.
• Perform and assist with bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are current and properly classified.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) entries, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Record Keeping & Compliance
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and all supporting financial documentation.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and resolve outstanding items.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of supporting schedules and accruals.
• Help maintain compliance with local UAE regulatory and VAT requirements.
Reporting & Analysis Support
• Support the CFO with preparation of financial summaries, reports, and internal management accounts.
• Assist in monitoring cash flow positions and flagging unusual variances or transactions.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and periodic reporting packages.
Cross-functional & Ad Hoc
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties (vendors, banks, auditors) as required.
• Assist in audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Advance Excel knowledge
2. Familiarity with accounting software Odoo
3. Must be Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA /CPA / CMA )
4. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance in Multinational companies
5. The ability to speak in French is a value addition (not mandatory)
6. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a value addition
