I am writing to express my interest in the General Practitioner – ICU position. I am a GMC-registered physician with DHA Eligibility and more than three years of experience working in high-acuity emergency departments, managing critically ill medical, surgical, trauma, and paediatric patients.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in the assessment, stabilisation, and ongoing management of critically unwell patients. My clinical practice includes advanced airway management, endotracheal intubation, central venous access, arterial blood gas interpretation, sepsis management, trauma resuscitation, and close monitoring of patients requiring critical care support. Working in busy tertiary-care emergency departments has enabled me to make rapid clinical decisions while maintaining high standards of patient safety and evidence-based care.

I currently work as a Medical Officer in the Accident & Emergency Department at Imran Idrees Teaching Hospital, where I independently manage emergency presentations, lead resuscitation efforts, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. In addition, I hold valid BLS and ACLS certifications and have completed an NHS observership in the United Kingdom, gaining exposure to NICE-guided practice, clinical governance, and electronic health record systems.

My strong foundation in acute and emergency medicine, combined with my procedural skills, commitment to continuous professional development, and ability to work effectively under pressure, make me well suited for a role within the Intensive Care Unit. I am eager to contribute to your organisation while further developing my critical care expertise.
