Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant, based in Beirut with opportunities for partial remote work. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting in audits. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other departments to implement financial best practices and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Money & Transactions

• Process and reconcile all client deposits and withdrawals daily across multiple currencies and payment methods.
• Ensure client funds are segregated, accurately tracked, and reported in line with regulatory requirements.

Daily P&L & Trading Finance

• Calculate and report daily P&L across all instruments MultiFi.
• Reconcile trading revenues against spreads, commissions, swaps, and rebates.

Liquidity Provider Reconciliation

• Monitor and reconcile cash balances and positions held with all LPs daily.
• Track LP fees, rebates, and invoices; ensure timely settlement of all obligations.

Banking & Cash Management

• Manage corporate and client bank accounts across multiple currencies.
• Monitor liquidity positions and ensure sufficient cash for client withdrawals and operations.

Invoicing & Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Issue and manage all outgoing invoices; process and track all incoming vendor and LP invoices.
• Maintain a clean ledger and chase overdue receivables.

Financial Reporting & Management Accounts

• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Produce weekly management reports covering revenue, expenses, and key financial KPIs.
• Support the annual audit and act as primary contact for the external auditor.

Expenses, Budgeting & Payroll

• Track operational expenses against budget and flag variances.
• Manage monthly payroll for the Lebanon office including NSSF and tax deductions.

Compliance & Tax

• Ensure compliance with Lebanese tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, NSSF) and FSC reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit all statutory filings on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, ideally within financial services or a brokerage.
• Solid understanding of trading finance: P&L, swaps, client money regulations.
• Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• High attention to detail, able to work independently and meet daily deadlines.
