OT Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Saudi Arabia (On-site)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled OT Cybersecurity Engineer to secure and protect industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and critical infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in risk assessments, network segmentation, system hardening, and OT security architecture aligned with international standards.
This role involves working across industries such as oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, and smart infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
OT Security Architecture & Design
- Design and implement secure OT architectures based on ISA/IEC 62443 and Saudi NCA-OTCC frameworks
- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Detailed-Level Design (DLD) documents
- Implement defence-in-depth strategies and secure zone segmentation (Purdue Model)
Risk & Vulnerability Management
- Conduct:
- OT Risk Assessments
- Gap Assessments
- Vulnerability Assessments
- Develop mitigation plans and cybersecurity roadmaps
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
Network Security & System Hardening
- Configure and manage:
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Industrial switches and routers
- Perform:
- System hardening (SCADA, PLC, DCS, HMI)
- Active Directory & access control implementation
- Implement secure remote access solutions
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Deploy and manage OT monitoring tools (e.g., Nozomi IDS)
- Monitor network anomalies and security events
- Investigate incidents and implement response strategies
- Integrate OT systems with SOC/SIEM platforms
Implementation & Integration
- Deploy cybersecurity solutions across:
- Substations
- Industrial plants
- Smart city infrastructure
- Support:
- FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
- SAT (Site Acceptance Test)
- Commissioning activities
Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Develop:
- Policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Security baselines and standards
- Maintain:
- Asset inventory
- Risk registers
- Audit documentation
- Ensure compliance with:
- IEC
- NIST
- ISA
Systems & Technologies
- SCADA Systems (e.g., Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa, Citect, Zenon)
- PLCs and Industrial Automation Systems
- OT Protocols:
- Modbus (RTU/TCP)
- DNP3
- IEC 61850
Tools & Platforms
- IDS/Monitoring: Nozomi Guardian
- SIEM: Splunk, QRadar, Wazuh
- Firewalls: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco
- Endpoint Security: Trellix
- Virtualization: VMware
- Backup Solutions: Acronis

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:

- Computer Science
- Cybersecurity or related field
Certifications (Preferred)

- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
- CISSP
- CEH
Experience Requirements
- 3–5+ years in OT/ICS cybersecurity
- Experience in:
- Oil & Gas
- Power/Energy sector
- Industrial automation
Preferred Experience
- Saudi Arabia projects (SABIC, ARAMCO, SEC, Ma’aden, etc.)
- Knowledge of the Saudi NCA-OTCC framework
- Experience with large-scale industrial deployments
