Role Description Part-time, remote. We are seeking an Oil & Gas Consultant to support a live upstream portfolio and transaction workstream. You will set up and structure data rooms, run quality control over technical and financial datasets, and evaluate and opine on budgets and investment decisions. The role blends subsurface and engineering knowledge with strong commercial and financial judgement, working alongside cross-regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data rooms; organise, structure, and version-control technical and financial data
• Perform quality control across reservoir, production, cost, and financial datasets to ensure consistency and reliability
• Evaluate reservoir performance and resource estimates, and stress-test the underlying assumptions
• Review and opine on development budgets, capital programmes, and investment decisions
• Support portfolio optimisation and field development planning
• Collaborate with cross-regional technical, finance, and commercial teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Strong technical grounding in reservoir management, resource evaluation, and drilling/operations
• Solid financial and commercial acumen: budget review, economic evaluation, and investment appraisal
• Comfort working with large datasets, with rigour around data quality and control
• Proven ability to deliver in remote, cross-regional teams
• Clear, concise communicator with sound commercial judgement
